Dan Olszewski, director of the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business, was featured in a recent Wall Street Journal article about the trend of venture-capital firms looking to college and university students to identify promising startups as soon as possible.

The article, titled “Venture Capitalists Enlist Student-Run Funds to Find the Next Facebook,” highlights the School’s Weinert Applied Ventures in Entrepreneurship (WAVE) class as an example of a business school that provides students access to venture capital funding to test their startups.

In the article, Olszewski briefly describes the track record of the 20 investments made in these student-led startups in the class since 1998.
