Jonathan Eckhardt, associate professor of management, made a presentation that earned third place in a workshop competition held during a conference of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE). Eckhardt was part of a team presenting on “Entrepreneurship in the iPhone Economy.” Other members were Satish Nambisan, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Mark Perry, University of Missouri-Kansas City; and Shaker A. Zahra, University of Minnesota.
The 2011 USASBE Conference, a premier gathering of entrepreneurship scholars and educators, was held Jan. 13-16 in Hilton Head, S.C.
Eckhardt teaches courses in entrepreneurship to undergraduate, MBA, and PhD students at the Wisconsin School of Business. In 2008, he was one of just five individuals in the country to be named to a Kauffman Junior Faculty Fellowship in Entrepreneurship Research.
