Hickman/Larson Endowed Chair in Actuarial Science
The Hickman/Larson endowment was created to recognize the defining contributions and leadership of Jim Hickman and Bob Larson, pioneers in the actuarial science field. These two special men also inspired and touched the lives of many throughout the Wisconsin School of Business and in the community.
The Actuarial Science Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is known as one of the leading programs in the nation, and its faculty are recognized and respected for their research contributions to the profession and industry. Investments in the program are critical to helping us maintain its world-class quality, making us a national leader in actuarial education.
The popularity of this program is further evidenced by the 150% increase in student enrollments since 2000 and the large, very active student club in the Wisconsin School of Business. Our alumni and friends have every reason to feel a pride of association with such an esteemed program.
Please join us in supporting the University of Wisconsin-Madison Actuarial Science Program by donating to the Hickman/Larson Endowed Chair fund. Your investment commemorates the life’s work of two exceptional individuals, while also ensuring the program’s excellence well into the future.
