The Co-Curricular Learning Board (CCLB) is a unique way organizations can partner with the Actuarial Science, Risk Management and Insurance program at the Wisconsin School of Business. CCLB member companies contribute their time and energy to bring meaningful, outside of the classroom learning opportunities to the students at UW-Madison. Some of the CCLB sponsored learning events are structured, while some are more informal.

Structured activities include events like presentations by industry leaders, risk management and insurance related simulations, and a Myers-Briggs personality-type seminar. More informal learning opportunities have included fall picnics, spring social mixers, employer/student lunches, and a Milwaukee Brewers game.

At all CCLB sponsored events, students have the chance to work with and talk to professionals from the CCLB Board Companies, allowing students to gain from the knowledge of those working in their chosen field. These interactions help students learn more about the member organizations. The events also help give students great contacts that will be helpful both for their job search and during their career. Being a part of the CCLB gives company representatives a chance to learn more about students in a more relaxed environment outside of the interview room.

Co-Curricular Learning Board (CCLB) Events

The CCLB sponsors many great opportunities for students to learn outside of the classroom.  These events also help students and company representatives to learn more about each other.
