Elizabeth Odders-White

Associate Professor - Finance
U.S. Bank Associate Professor

Elizabeth Odders-White is the U.S. Bank Associate Professor in the Department of Finance, Investment, and Banking at the Wisconsin School of Business and an affiliate of the UW-Madison Center for Financial Security.

Her research focuses primarily on the trading of equity securities in U.S. markets.

Examples of her work include studies of the impact of government regulation on securities markets and examinations of the role of private information in trading.

Her work has appeared in top academic journals, including the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Journal of Quantitative and Financial Analysis.

Her research has been presented at numerous conferences and universities. Since joining the Wisconsin School of Business in 1997, Odders-White has taught a variety of courses in the area of investments to undergraduates, master’s students, and doctoral students.

She holds a Ph.D. in finance from Northwestern University, and a BS in applied mathematics and a BFA in vocal performance, both from Tulane University.
