Youchang Wu is assistant professor of finance at Wisconsin School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on financial intermediaries such as mutual funds, hedge funds, and financial advisers. He also works in the areas of corporate finance and empirical asset pricing. His research has been published in Journal of Finance and Review of Financial Studies, and presented at numerous workshops and international conferences, including the annual meetings of American Finance Association, Western Finance Association, and European Finance Association.
Youchang Wu received his Ph.D in finance from University of Vienna, master and bachelor degrees in economics from Beijing University, and has taught at both of these universities. During his time as a lecturer at Beijing University, which was prior to his Ph.D, he coauthored a popular textbook on money and banking in Chinese (with Gang Yi).
