Deadlines for the spring 2012 application cycle (for summer 2012, fall 2012 and spring 2013 study abroad) are as follows:
- February 15, 2012: Summer programs in Copenhagen, Dublin, Paris and Quebec
- March 1, 2012: All other programs
Applications submitted after these deadlines are not guaranteed full and equal consideration and may not be reviewed.
The following information is for reference and may change in future admission cycles. Please review the application for complete details.
Applications are typically due March 1 of the previous academic year. Some summer programs may have earlier deadlines. If space for spring semester opens, the application process will re-open in the fall.
A complete application will consist of the completed application packet, student record from UW-Madison and any other college or university you have attended, and the $350 program fee.
Please note that the minimum application requirements are:
- 3.0 cumulative GPA
- 54 credits earned before the term abroad
- 9 credits of business and/or economics
- Language requirements (Buenos Aires, Freiburg, Madrid, Santiago, Seville)
The primary selection criterion is academic performance followed by (in no particular order) classification (preference given to business and pre-business majors), prior coursework, and answers to short answer questions on the application. Applicants with prior relevant, but not required, language courses may be given additional consideration. Applicants with a prior college semester abroad experience may be given lower priority.
