The Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management

The Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management (OTM) was established in 1994 to prepare students for the demands of 21st century management responsibilities and provide them with the skills necessary to compete in a diverse and competitive, global environment.

The Erdman Center staff administers the OTM program and the Center is the "home away from home" for the OTM students. The center has a computer lounge and a conference room for student team meetings, interviewing and staff meetings. In addition, basic office equipment (phone, fax, printer, copier, scanner) is available for student use. The staff assists with internships and job placements, and arranges social and professional activities.

The Center also employs students as project or teaching assistants. The Center is governed by an interdisciplinary group of faculty and is supported by an executive advisory board.

The purpose of the Industrial Advisory Board linked to the Erdman Center is to provide recommendations and advice on matters vital to the Center's activities. Specifically, the Board serves as an external partner of the Center by monitoring industry trends and changes that may have important implications for the Center and the OTM program. The Board also provides opportunities for plant visits and internships, and its members serve as mentors for OTM students during their time in the program.
