Each August, the ALC hosts the LeaderShape Institute, a six-day intensive leadership workshop for approximately sixty-five undergraduate students. The program follows a structured curriculum and involves large and small group discussions, team building events, and leadership activities. While strengthening personal abilities, students form strong bonds with their peers and have the opportunity to network with university faculty and staff, as well as business professionals. Students describe the week as a life-changing experience and a must-attend during their time at UW-Madison.

The next LeaderShape Institute will be held August 19-24, 2013 at the Bishop O'Connor Center on the west side of Madison.
