This year's NAIOP competition consisted of students receiving a 1.9 acre site across street from TCF Bank Football Stadium on University of Minnesota campus (comparable in location and linkages to the corner of Monroe and Regent in Madison). The students toured the site in mid-February and submitted a full development plan by late March and presented their development plan to a judging panel of 6 local developers/investors/bankers/city officials, owner/developer of the site and 130+ Minnesota NAIOP Chapter members. To develop the plan the team talked with local experts provided by the NAIOP Chapter, their own personal contacts, UW alums, students from previous year’s competition and WSoB faculty.
