Deloitte has a variety of opportunities available for students to learn more about the field of accounting/professional services and to develop their skills! Check them out below:

Deloitte National Leadership Conference (DNLC)

The Deloitte National Leadership Conference is a multi-day event for students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and a keen interest in business/professional services. Students from several colleges and universities will be involved in workshops and activities geared towards bringing out their leadership, team-building, interpersonal and negotiation skills and potential. In addition, students will have numerous opportunities to network and interact with Deloitte professionals of all levels. We can guarantee that our conference will be one of the most exciting and rewarding learning experiences you will ever encounter outside of the classroom!

Qualifications:
  • Sophomore or Junior Level students studying business
  • Strong academic credentials (Minimum GPA of 3.25 or equivalent)
  • Keen interest in professional services and a career in business
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels

NextGen Leaders Conference

The NextGen Leaders National Conference is a challenging, rewarding and highly selective multi-day event held at Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas for outstanding freshmen. As a participant, you will be involved in sessions geared towards developing leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.  You will also have the opportunity to learn about life in professional services, meet Deloitte professionals from different backgrounds and get a first-hand look at how diversity plays a critical role in our success.  

In addition to the conference,  you become part of the NextGen Leaders Program and receive an award of $1,000 upon completion of the NextGen Leaders National Conference.  And with this financial assistance, you’ll worry less about paying for text books and have more time to focus on building the future of your dreams! 

Qualifications:
  • Freshman Level students studying business
  • Strong academic credentials (Minimum GPA of 3.3 or equivalent)
  • Keen interest in professional services and a career in business
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
  • Creativity and self-confidence

Women’s Luncheon

Deloitte’s Women’s Initiative (WIN), aimed at retaining and advancing women, is a defining strength of Deloitte’s culture, values, and brand. WIN has played an integral part in Deloitte being named to Working Mother magazine’s Top 10 list; passing the 1,000 women partner, principal, and director mark in 2009; and being cited as a model employer by The Shriver Report: A Woman’s Nation Changes Everything, released in October 2009 by Maria Shriver and the Center for American Progress.

Discover Deloitte Student Program (DDSP)

The Discover Deloitte Student Program is a four part program scheduled for select days during the spring, summer, and fall.  This opportunity is for students that have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills combined with strong academic performance.  During these four events students will be participating in team activities, shadow days, and community service activities geared towards bringing out the leadership skills and potential of each participant.  Students will have an opportunity to learn more about available careers at Deloitte, meet professionals from our organization, and learn more about the IMAcc internship interviews scheduled for Spring 2013.  The events during this program will take place at UW-Madison and in the Deloitte Milwaukee office.

Qualifications:
  • Students studying accounting/business that intend to apply for the Spring 2013 IMAcc Program
  • Keen interest in professional services and a career in accounting
  • Strong academic credentials (Minimum GPA of 3.2 or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
