The Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University invites students to apply for the Fourth Annual KeyBank Leadership and Creativity Symposium on November 10–13, 2011 at The Blackwell, OSU's on campus hotel and conference center.

Each campus is allowed to send two junior and senior students to participate.  Top undergraduate students, specifically those from underrepresented groups with above 3.0 GPA (preference 3.4 or greater), will participate in a competitive forum for skill building in the following areas:

  • Leadership training
  • Creativity and the power of creative thinking
  • Product innovation and new product development
  • Spreadsheet management and analysis
  • Entrepreneurial theory and practice
  • Persuasive communication
Read more about it here (pdf) and download the application here (pdf).

The registration deadline is Friday, September 23, 2011.  Special consideration will be given to applicants who have student organization executive board experience (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, or Secretary) and to students who register prior to August 1, 2011. Spaces are limited to 20 schools and only 40 students (two students per school).  Therefore, its best that students complete their registrations as soon as possible.

Applicants must provide the following: a letter of recommendation from their business or engineering school dean, faculty member, or school administrator; resume; college transcript; completed application including an essay explaining the reason(s) for wanting to participate in the program; and a $50 non-refundable registration fee (checks or money orders only).

Participating students will have an opportunity to win 1 of 6 scholarships for $1,500 and all students will receive participation allowances ranging from $200-$400.  All students selected to participate in the program will receive complimentary housing and meals at The Blackwell Hotel.
