Henry Vilas Zoo seeks Marketing Volunteers

Friends of the Zoo is looking for Marketing & Public Relations volunteers to assist with a variety of marketing and public relations projects including writing and compiling newsletter articles, press releases, grant proposals, E-blasts and updating the Zoo website.

The volunteer will be matched with a specific project that matches their skill set, experience, and interests. Volunteering on the marketing team at the Zoo is a fantastic way to apply your experience to a worthwhile community cause, build your skills, and enhance your resume.

Ideal volunteers should have strong research, interview and writing skills, the ability to work independently, have experience working with website content management tools (Mail Chimp, IMS Site Manager), and understand web-based graphic requirements. We are willing to provide technical training for volunteers with strong writing skills.

Weekly time commitment is flexible. Minimum length of commitment is 12 weeks.

Do you know a volunteer, student organization, or community nonprofit that deserves to be recognized for their commitment to the community?  Recognize outstanding individuals and organizations that are advancing the Wisconsin Idea and serving the community by nominating them for a Morgridge Center award.

The Morgridge Center for Public Service launched awards for students and community organizations in 2007.  These awards were created to recognize the long history of engagement by students and community organizations to advance the Wisconsin Idea and make a difference in the community.  The Morgridge Center gives away four awards each year to honoring those who are dedicated to giving back to the community.  To learn more about each award, or to nominate a student or organization of your choice, click the following links:
