Administrator for Program Coordinator

The Nehemiah Community Development Corporation fosters personal transformation through development of respect for self and others, social competence, leadership skills, academic achievement, and economic empowerment.

Responsibilities depend on the volunteers interest and skills but may include assisting with the marketing of the LIGHT program, helping promote the LIGHT program needs, assisting with the scheduling of activities and events for LIGHT, the development of fliers, forms and other documents, and assisting with program expansion efforts in areas such as the development of a mentoring program and strategic partnerships with Madison’s public schools and community institutions.

Volunteer position requires 5-15 hours per week with very flexible hours at the Nehemiah office and on-site program locations; however, some work can be done from home. To be eligible to apply, students must be currently enrolled at UW-Madison, have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA, taken at least 100 UW-Madison credits and have demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout their college career at UW-Madison. Specific qualifications and details are available here.
