Scheduled for May 15-20, 2011 at Capital One’s corporate headquarters in McLean, VA, this Summit will provide you with an excellent opportunity to network with Capital One associates and other students from top colleges and universities. McLean, located in the DC metro area, is a vibrant, diverse city where there is always plenty to do and explore. What is it?

As a student, building a credit history early is helpful and access to credit cards can be a great convenience. Recent legislation fundamentally changed the student credit card business, and Capital One is excited about reentering the student segment to build long-term relationships. Capital One has recently launched a new product for students, the JourneySM Student Rewards Credit Card. How would you approach this market segment? What would your product look like? How would you market it? Who would you market it to?

This business case represents the types of challenging problems Capital One looks to solve as we continue to reinvent the financial services industry. By participating in this year’s Capital One Case Competition, you can test out your analytical and problem-solving skills that are prized by top employers. How do I participate?

1. Organize a team of three people

3. Submit your initial proposal by 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, March 18th

Finalists will present to a group of executives at our corporate headquarters in McLean, VA on Friday, April 8th, and each member of the winning team will receive a prize of $1000.
