Volunteer at the 2011 UW Dance Marathon

The Wisconsin Dance Marathon is a student-run philanthropy group on campus, working to raise money for American Family Children's Hospital. The Dance Marathon is an annual, high-energy, 15-hour event, from sundown to sunup. During the Marathon participants dance, enjoy entertainment and free food, and remember the kids that they are pledging to support. The 2010 Wisconsin Dance Marathon raised $80,433.

  • 2011 Marathon date: Feb. 18 at 6pm
  • Location: Great Hall at the Wisconsin Union, 800 Langdon St., Madison
The Wisconsin Dance Marathon needs you! Volunteers are needed to help make the night a success.  Without the spectacular support of the campus and Madison community, they wouldn't be able to make nearly as much of a difference for the kids at the Children's Hospital.  Please contact the Wisconsin Dance Marathon leadership team at to get information on contributing to the event's success.  Check out and join the Wisconsin Dance Marathon Facebook page to learn the latest Dance Marathon news. You can also follow them on Twitter.

Consider This: HospiceCare

Hospice is a unique kind of care that provides comfort and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. HospiceCare has a tremendous need for volunteer administrative and clerical support. General Administrative Volunteers provide support to the HospiceCare staff by providing a variety of administrative job duties, such as data entry and record keeping. Volunteers must be able to commit 2-4 hours per week.

Those interested are required to complete a volunteer application and orientation session. For more information on HospiceCare, or to become a volunteer, contact the Volunteer Coordinator.
