On-campus recruiting will begin again over winter break and hit full speed at the start of spring semester. Will you be ready? Keep these important dates and events in mind:
Early January: Employer mock interviews will become available for sign-up in BuckyNet. Practicing your interview skills is one of the best ways to be a more confident, more prepared interviewee. Search for “mock” in the Jobs section of BuckyNet to view available mock interview opportunities. Also check out these BCC interviewing tips.
Now-Spring Semester: On-campus interviewing opportunities begin to appear in the Jobs section of BuckyNet. Search early and search often! Begin to submit your resume via BuckyNet.
Late January-Throughout Spring Semester: Employers host on-campus Information Sessions for students to learn about their company and opportunities. Attending these sessions is an integral part of the on-campus recruiting process. Mark your calendars and plan to participate in Information Sessions for the companies in which you’re interested!
January 23-30: Ten minute drop-in advising is available in the BCC from 10:00-4:30 every weekday for admitted business students. Stop in for a resume review or tips on preparing for the career fair. No appointment necessary! First-come, first-served. After January 31, the BCC offers normal drop-in advising hours from 11:30AM-1:30PM every weekday.
January 26: Making the Most of the Career Fair workshop presented by General Mills at 4:30PM.
January 30: Write a Winning Resume workshop, presented by the BCC. Time and location TBD. Check back on myBiz for more details.
January 30: Real Estate Career Fair at Union South from 6:00PM-8:00PM.
January 30: On-campus interviewing officially begins
January 31: UW-Madison Spring Career and Internship Fair at the Kohl Center from 4:30PM-8:00PM. Check out the BCC’s tips for making the most of the career fair.
