Leadership Across Cultures: Learning from the Books and Streets of China (MHR 365) is a 3 credit course that is a 9-week class and 10-day study trip to China over spring break in March 2011.
The class focuses on cross-cultural leadership practices and is especially relevant to business students considering most business is in some way globally connected with China. However, anyone may take the course. The class is Tuesdays from 2:25-5:25 p.m.
We spend half the trip in Beijing and half in Shanghai, doing both tourist activities such as climbing the Great Wall and touring Tienenman Square, along with professional business visits to companies like IBM and New York Times. Check out the course website to learn more about the class, review the syllabus, view videos from past classes and more!
