Bay Area Badger Entrepreneurship Forum Connects UW Students to Co-ops & Internships by Kelly Cuene

Are you a business student interested in interning in the San Francisco area? Want to contribute your talents to a startup, high-tech company or have an interest in entrepreneurship? A new LinkedIn group has been formed to connect Badger students interested in these things to Badger alumni in the Bay Area.

The LinkedIn group was founded and is led by members of the Badger Entrepreneurship Forum. This organization is a entrepreneurial group of 200 UW Alumni who are building, built and sold new businesses, C-level, VC and executives in the Bay Area. The goals of the group are to facilitate entrepreneurship among UW alumni in Silicon Valley and help UW programs access Silicon Valley companies and talent.

UW-Madison students majoring in  business, engineering, journalism and computer science who are interested in 6 month internships in Silicon Valley should join the Bay Area Badger Internships group on LinkedIn to begin networking with members of The Badger Entrepreneurship Forum and the alumni that can help them get connected to Bay Area internship opportunities.

In order to join the group and the conversation, students will need to establish a LinkedIn account and complete their LinkedIn profile. If you missed the LinkedIn training held last December, you can view a recorded version of that webinar here. Talk to your career advisor if you have questions about LinkedIn! Once your account is set up and your profile filled out, you can send a request to join the Bay Area Badger Internships group.
