If you attended the Spring Career Expo last week, be sure to follow-up with employers you met at the fair. Send a thank you note to let them know you appreciated their time and the information they shared with you.
Sample thank you letters can be found in the BCC Resume and Cover Letter Guide (pdf). Be sure to let employers know you followed through with appropriate action steps, such as applying for a position on BuckyNet or on the company website, when applicable.
Other thank you writing tips:
- Be concise
- Remind employers you met at the UW-Madison career fair (recruiters often visit multiple schools)
- Be genuine
- Reiterate your enthusiasm and qualifications for the position
- Thank them for taking the time to speak with you and providing helpful information
- Write clearly and check for typing and/or grammar mistakes. Proofread!
