There are many great business volunteer opportunities coming up. Bonus if you know Spanish!
Know Spanish? Help someone secure their financial future!
Are you friendly and enjoy meeting people? Are you fluent in Spanish? If so, then you can be a Bilingual Greeter at the South Madison Volunteer Income Assistance Site.
Each year the South Madison VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site provides free income tax preparation to thousands of low-income workers, seniors, and those with disabilities.
You are not expected to be a tax preparer, but rather a person who welcomes, directs, and translates for the tax preparer when necessary. Ability to communicate in Spanish is required and training will be provided. Benefits include recognitions, learning new skills, and letters of reference. Application deadline is December 15, 2010.
Contact Ann Lynch, Volunteer Coordinator, at (608) 283-1262 or by e-mail if interested.
