Great news, first-year students! You have one more chance to be a part of a First-Year Interest Group (FIG)! by Katie Coon

At SOAR, you received a lot of great information about First-Year Interest Groups (FIGs).  We talked about the many benefits of participating in a FIG, including the ability to connect with a faculty member in a small class setting, the opportunity to take a series of courses with students who share similar interests, and the potential to earn a higher GPA.  We indicated that FIGs are only available for a student in his/her first semester on campus, but we have great news: for the first time, Spring FIGS will be available in 2011!

Whether you participated in a FIG or not in the fall, you will not want to miss this opportunity.  Many of the FIG courses satisfy liberal studies courses, which are great options to complement your pre-business courses.  Review the three FIG options below and consider participating this spring!
