The BBA Admissions Application opens each year on the first day of spring classes (January 21, 2014 for the current academic year) and closes on the last Friday in March (March 28, 2014 for the current academic year). Applicants must utilize their NetID and password to access the application.
All applicants will be required to complete the following components of our application:
(500 word max) and optional second essay (250 words max)
The applicant will be asked to submit an essay (500 word maximum) answering a specific prompt. Log-in to the BBA Admissions Application to review the required essay prompt. Submitting this essay will consist of copying and pasting from a Microsoft Word document to a text box in the online application. Therefore, applicants are strongly encouraged to start working on this essay early in the application process and have it reviewed for errors or edits. Wisconsin BBA staff and faculty are not able to review the essay(s). The second essay is optional, with a 250 word maximum. The purpose of this optional essay is to provide the committee with extenuating circumstances the committee may not be aware of from the application. This optional essay is NOT intended for personal pleas of admission.
As part of the Wisconsin BBA application process, we require a professional (one page) résumé to be submitted (in pdf format) by the applicant. It is important to understand that the résumé submitted for the BBA application may have some slight variations to one submitted for internships and/or full-time employment. We encourage the applicant to review and follow the examples and suggestions provided in the Résumé Resource Guide for BBA Admission Application. The guide includes best practices and suggestions from the BBA Admissions committee, overall formatting guidelines, and several sample résumés.
For additional information on the application process or components, prospective applicants can meet with a pre-business advisor in 3150 Grainger Hall or attend our Admissions 101 (Application) & Admissions 102 (Résumé) sessions.
