Help us dunk the Dean! Jump in Lake Monona for the Polar Plunge to raise money for the Special Olympics. If we have more than 220 participants, our Dean, Francois Ortalo-Magne will plunge!!!!
The Polar Plunge will take place on Saturday, February 18th at Olin Turville Park. We will make the actual plunge at 1pm into Lake Monona and while it will certainly be very cold, it is for a great cause. The money raised for the jump is for the Special Olympics of Wisconsin. The WHOLE school will be jumping in together (including dean Francois Ortalo-Magne!). The Wisconsin School of Business and the MBA program have set a goal of having at least 220 team members participate in the plunge (but the more people that participate, the more money will be raised).
In addition, there will be a FREE breakfast at Grainger prior to the jump, around 11:30am-12:30pm. After breakfast there will be buses to take everyone to the plunge site. If you really do not want to jump in the water, there is an alternative option referred to as the "chicken dance" for those who are too frightened to jump in. Even if you do not want to jump in, it is still important that we collect donations and have as many faculty and staff members at the event as possible.
To donate/register, please follow this link. You can also register for the plunge as an individual or even create your own team!
