Foreign Service Officer Kathy Johnson, Diplomat-in-Residence at the University of Illinois-Chicago, will lecture on the importance of international education and exchange in a globalized world on Wednesday, November 17th, from 3:30-4:30pm in Grainger 5120. Her talk will focus specifically on the benefits of encouraging students to study abroad, as well as the need to attract future leaders abroad to study in the U.S. Ms. Johnson has spent more than 20 years as a management affairs officer in various embassies and consulates around the world. She is visiting Madison the week of November 15th to help celebrate International Opportunities Month. This lecture is being sponsored by IAP-Study Abroad and the UW-Madison Grand Strategy Program.
