 A native of San Antonio, TX, Sergio Trujillo graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor of science in business administration with concentrations in International Business, Finance and Spanish for the Professions. As a senior, he interned at Harley-Davidson Motor Company within the Investor Relations and Latin America/Asia-Pacific departments. While at Marquette, he also had the opportunity to study abroad at Universidad Pontificia Comillas de Madrid (ICADE). Upon graduation, Sergio spent two and a half years as an Analyst at Ilios Partners, a boutique investor relations services firm.

In January 2006, Sergio joined Abbott Laboratories as a Financial Analyst within the Abbott Diagnostics Latin America/Canada team. After spending two years within the Financial Planning & Analysis group, he joined the Pharmaceutical Products Division at Abbott, where he worked in Marketing Analytics & Business Insights, serving the Integrated Managed HealthCare organization.

At Abbott, Sergio was a leader within LA VOICE, the Hispanic/Latino Employee Network, and served as the Chair of the Membership & Communication Committee. Outside of work, Sergio volunteered with the Marquette Club of Chicago, Chicago Latino Film Festival, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School ¡VIVA! Planning Committee, HACE, and NSHMBA.

Sergio is passionate and takes an active interest in diversity programming, Latino issues, and multicultural marketing topics. Sergio has attended various minority leadership development programs and sat on panels offered by Abbott and the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement. As a result of obtaining a job at Abbott through the 2005 HACE Career Conference, Sergio was featured in the New York Daily News and New York Times regarding networking best practices for young professionals.
